Requesting a Visit or Virtual Support for Direct Support

Our Direct Support Nursing team is a team of one RN and supporting RPN.  

This is a fee-for-service program and requesting agencies must have a contract with the Ottawa Rotary Home.  Find out more how the program works.

Our nurses work part time and collectively can support agencies and individuals according to contracted hours from Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm.  If you require flexibility outside these hours for a specific visit, our nurses will work with you to pre-book an afterhours visit if they have the ability to accommodate.

It is important to note that we make every effort to respond to a visit/support request as soon as we can but if our nurse is already booked for the time you have requested, we may have to book the supports on the next available day.

Unfortunately, our nurses do not provide after hours emergency supports.  If this is an emergency please call 9-1-1.

Please use the new online booking form instead of emailing or texting.  This allows us to track requests and corresponding visits to ensure all requests have been met.  Since we are now employing a team to support agencies, this central booking platform allows us to respond to agencies in a timely manner and deploy nurses as they are needed.   The request form is also used for billing purposes.
